Ukraine conducts operation on Russian soil

Kiev [Ukraine], July 16: In an interview with The Washington Post on July 14, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny admitted that Ukrainian forces were carrying out an operation against military targets inside Russia.
In the context of Western allies, fearing an escalation of hostilities, have imposed a condition on Kyiv not to use their supplied long-range missiles to attack Russian territory, Zaluzhnysaid . has used its own weapons in frequent cross-border raids that the country has never officially acknowledged.
According to Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny, Ukraine still lacks the necessary resources to take back all the areas under Russian control, especially F-16 fighter jets. Reuters yesterday quoted General OleksanderTarnavskyi, the commander of Ukraine's southern forces, as saying that he had made new progress on the southern front and was "knocking the enemy out of position".
However, military analysts suggest that things are not easy for Ukraine in its push to the south. President VolodymyrZelensky also stated cautiously that Russia is doing its best to block Ukraine's advance in the south and east. In its daily report, the Russian Defense Ministry said that forces repelled 16 Ukrainian attacks on the eastern front, including near the town of Maryinka and at the strategic village of Klishchiivka south of the city.
